The timeline
Lagos Life launched 1 October 2026 and has been updating at breakneck speed since — a domain move, a social stack, an economy, consequences, and a job board that tripled. The entries below are reverse-chronological, each with its source type. Data-bearing changes (pay, prices, careers) also update our jobs table and housing page the same day.
6 October 2026 · official stats page
The city keeps counting
The official live stats page shows hundreds of thousands of players with five-figure concurrent peaks. The Airport and Refinery stay marked 'coming soon' on the map.

Trillion-naira exploit wiped
After an exploit briefly minted absurd balances (screenshots flew across Nigerian social media), the developer wipes illegitimate funds and restores legitimate money — the clearest proof the economy is server-side.

Community guides record the full 21 careers × 5 ranks with pay rebalanced upward (entry ₦6,600–₦21,000, top shift ₦99,000 as Afrobeats Giant). Our jobs table carries this snapshot.

New official address + account carry-over
The game announces its proper home at lagoslife.app, and confirms existing accounts move with it — same username, same password. Old links keep circulating anyway, which is why we keep a whole game-link guide.

Relationships & intimacy
The relationship and intimacy system ships, including marriage proposals at intimacy 40 — the game's first big step beyond chat and hangouts.

House invites
Day-one social update: players can invite people straight to their house via the in-game phone (Phone → Invite → share your link anywhere).

Lagos Life launches
The game goes live on Nigeria's Independence Day, initially on a builder-platform subdomain. Creator: Shalom Rayhamen (Eliy), who credits The Sims 3 as the inspiration. Sign-up needs only a username and password; the game is free and browser-only.
How this page is maintained
Every entry must trace to something public: the creator's posts on X, the official site's own pages, dated press coverage, or community guides that read numbers out of the game on a stated date. When sources disagree (the game moves too fast for everyone to agree), the entry says so — like the player-count figures, where the "one million in four days" report and the official stats page measure different things. We would rather show the seam than paper over it.
If an update matters to how you play, the practical pages follow it: careers & pay, housing costs, skills & traits, and the pay calculator. New to the game? Start with the beginner guide — the changelog will make more sense once you have lived a Lagos week.
